Rewards for Commenting on my Blog

I just installed a new wordpress plugin called wp-incentive. It’s a plugin you have to buy but it’s not expensive and until March 17th 2010 it’s at a special price during the launch. The plugin rewards people for commenting on my blog by sending them an email with a link to download a free video.

Everyone likes to get feedback, especially when they are blogging. Comments extend a post and enable readers to get a better grasp on the topic.

I would dearly love to hear any comments you have to make on my articles.

Spam comments suck, robot’s posting links are boring, real comments are so much more fun, so let’s talk about stuff.

I installed the wp-incentive plugin to automatically send you a reward when you comment. It’s not just only once either, you get another reward when you have posted 3, 6, 12 and 20 comments. I’m hoping that this little reward for your time will encourage YOU to be a first commentator for me as i know it’s hard being the first on the dance floor or the first to speak up in a debate.

Also if you think the plugin is a good idea for your blog – download it here .

Why are comments so important?

Comments  convert a simple article to a debate or a discussion and makes everything so much more interesting. For example I read a post today on changes in law being proposed by the ACTA regarding penalties for infringing copyright laws by redistributing digital data.

The ACTA’s Internet Enforcement leaked chapter.

The article was simple but at first I didn’t understand what it was really talking about. NOT SO the numerous commentators on the post! Outrage, disappointment, resignation and sceptical realism were all expressed and it made this post really interesting to read.  The comments helped me to better understand the proposed changes and many were very funny.

I especially liked comments 7, 17, 21, 31, 74, 78, 88, 93, 95.
